Michelle, Sydney & Wives, M.D.

Wives, M.D. is a place for two friends to document their experiences as wives of med school students. We want to share our experiences, things we learn through the process, and how we are learning to enjoy the ride!

Syd and I met during the summer of 2008 as EFY counselors. As co-counselors, we hit it off and had a blast getting to teach lots of teenagers, dance like crazy and make lasting friendships.

Then in 2010 after we were both married, our paths crossed again as we moved into apartments just down the street from each other. Luckily, our husbands quickly became friends and we spent that fall hanging out, going on double dates and stressing over med school preparations. 

Sydney is the cute, short blonde that is always smiling; while I am the tall, dark-haired one that tends to be a bit too sarcastic. We balance each other out and help each other stay grounded and calm (most of the time) in the midst of the med school whirlwind. Now, Syd and Spence are headed to Chicago and D and I are headed who knows where! Med school may take us in different directions but hopefully it will also be what binds us together.
