This blog came about after hours and hours of online research. Michelle and I both have pre-med husbands. Both of us have played the role of supportive wife (and possibly even crazy stressed out wife, more on this later) while our husbands have prepped and planned for medical school.
During the whole application to med school process I spent a ton of time online. I remember one day being so excited about the information I finally dug up. It was super helpful to know and really pushed things along for us. I remember thinking "Man there should be an easier way to share this information" and that's when the idea of a medical school blog started.
Of course I had to talk to Michelle about it. Not only was she my bosom buddy when it came to med school things but she was also a great friend and incredible blogger. So together we perfected what we thought the ideal "Med School Wives" blog would be.
A little day-to-day posts of the lives of young couples in the post-undergrad world
A little advice for applications (both Med-School and others) and starting a professional program
And basically our story along this path of being a Medical School students wife.
Michelle and I both have very different Med School stories. We've both learned a lot along the way. Made a few mistakes but survived. Please, if you have any questions feel free to contact us. I found that just having someone to talk to and give me advice really helped us along the way.
