Puppy Love

This weekend is my sister-in-law's wedding! I love wedding weekends. When D's family comes in to town from Colorado we generally end up having a dog stay with us.

D's dog is names Moose and for good reason. He is huge! I grew up in a dog-less family so the first time I met Moose I was really nervous. He hopped right up and put his paws on my chest and I think I stifled a shriek in front of the entire family. I'm cool. I like-ish Moose, we seem to have come to an understanding but Danny is in looooove with him.

Grammy, D's 87-year-old grandmother, has a dag named Benny. Most of the time she calls Danny Benny, which exemplifies her love for her pup. Benny is also the first dog I fell in love with and the dog we get to watch this weekend. He has these huge eyes that make my heart go soft.

Since I grew up with a family that was not a big fan of dogs (that has changed since, but it was the way I was raised) I had always been hesitant about having a dog in my future family. But ever since I met Benny I have been looking for the perfect dog for me and D. I generally lean toward the Australian Labradoodle because they are the cutest dogs ever but I change my mind ever few weeks (much like which medical school I lean toward). When I do research about a med school I always do an apartment/neighborhood search. I look for good schools, how close they are to the med school, and obviously, if they are dog friendly. I have found the perfect apartment in Virginia, Nebraska, Georgia and Upstate New York.

Keep your fingers crossed.

p.s. Anyone else reading the Divergent series? More discussion on this later, but if you haven't started it yet, do it. Pick it up TODAY! So good!
