TGIF

Today, I am trusting in Emily Maynard to make the right decisions and pick Jef! Seriously. I cannot watch him get his adorable, hipster heart broken on national television. Team Jef, baby!

I'm grateful for our country. I'm a very patriotic person, I always have been. I mean my bachelor's degree is in American Studies. And while studying our country for four years, I learned a lot about our mistakes, our pride, our stubbornness, and especially our prejudices. But I also learned about how quickly we are able to change. How the people have voices here and justice is in those voices. I love that we are a young country that gets fired up, makes mistakes, learns from those mistakes and moves forward. How fortunate I feel to be an American.

I'm inspired by the youth. For a little over five years I worked for Especially for Youth. I had the blessing to be taught by them, the be changed by them, to laugh my head off with them, and to see how the world would change. I was talking with my brother-in-law about certain prejudices that older generations hold on to that seem to lessen over time. I'm inspired by the young people who choose to put off older generations hate and be more accepting of people and their differences.

What is your TGIF today?
