Utah...

Welp, D's next interview is quickly approaching. He will be interviewing at the University of Utah in early October. I'm excited about this interview not only because it is in our home state but it is free to get to! Yahooo! I love not paying to travel to med school interviews. 

The U of U is a great school (and obviously we want all the acceptances we can get so we have some choices) but I keep hoping we either don't get in to the U or we only get in to the U. It will make life and med school decisions a lot easier. For now, I'm taking the waiting game day by day so I'm not going to worry about my pro/con list until we have acceptances. 

On the DO front, we have a few interview offers but we haven't scheduled anything yet. DO school applications and the application process are A MILLION times better than MD schools. The applications cost less, they get back to you much sooner, they make offers faster. But the big con is the deposit. Anyway, I'm working on a few MD vs. DO posts because there is so much confusion and prejudice surrounding the topic of DO schools. We aren't experts but I have done a ton of reading about both, the differences and I have friends going both routes.

p.s. Is anyone else out there crazy excited that J.K. Rowling's new book just came out today? I can't wait to get started on it this afternoon!!
