Home Sweet Home

So I thought I'd share a few of my favorite places in our new home. We are still very much in the "set-up" stage but slowly things are coming together. I love walking in and feeling so at home! I also love that Spence loves it...what a great place for him to come home to after a long day at school. So here area few random but awesome places in our home.

The hall way. Now I know this may seem really random but for some reason these pictures on this wall just make me smile. We have noticed that we have too much "us" around. We're working on changing out "us" for art and others but this will take time and money. One step at a time people!
Also, these pictures make me think of two of my besties MJ and Lo. They gave them to me for my wedding and every time I look at these I can't help but smile and feel loved!

Our TV stand. Now this deservers a post for itself but I'll spare you. I love this cute little stand. I need a few coffee table books to make it look pretty and our pictures will be on our wall someday. Still waiting for an addition that will take them off the floor. The B will also make it's home on the wall but for now it makes me happy when I go to turn the TV on or off!

Now this is my most favorite part of the house. My little reading nook! One day it will be my rocker for a babe but for now it's my spot to just sit, realax, study, and read! Love the little pops of color we're slowly bringing in. We decided to leave most of our books at home because we didn't think we'd have space. Now I have an empty bookcase...oh well! I think we'll fill it up in no time.

My office. I have loved this little bookcase from Ikea for some time now. Spence let me splurge just a bit. Before we moved in I thought we only had 1 closet. So this was supposed to be my "closet". Well turns out we have lots of storage space (joy) and so I need to find a new plan for this little guy. Again we kinda just put stuff there for temporary fix. But it's a work in progress. 

Our little condo is finally feeling like home. We still have tons of work to do but I'm waiting for my Mom to come help me! Aren't Mom's the best! 

we're saying goodbye

well this weekend has been a whirlwind of events
we are in the middle of our move....finally!
we spent the weekend packing up, saying goodbye, eating way to much (because thats what you do when you say goodbye), and just enjoying our last few moments in utah.

the beginning of the summer we decided to make a list of all things "utah" we wanted to do before we left. to be honest i think we did 1 of those things. but it's okay because instead we spent time with family and friends. and in the end thats the most important.

so now here we are. days away from being chicago residents. we load up the truck tonight and spence takes off tomorrow. his sweet dad and uncle are driving him out. they are letting me have a little bit more family time in jackson hole.

so now i'm off to pack up our track. here are a few of our recent goodbyes!

saying goodbye to my roommates. sure love these girls. we missed megs though!

 saying goodbye to meh (best friend) but it's only goodbye for like a few weeks.


goodbyes are hard but how grateful i am for facetime, email, and unlimited mobile to mobile minutes.

next time i'm blogging i'll be in beautiful jackson hole...and the time after that i'll be in chicago (my new home)
